That is really nifty!

00010 INPUT FIELDS "10,10,#PIC(------.--)": Balance$

Notice the "#" before the PIC statement.

Interesting. I was under the mistaken impression that #PIC and the others only worked for GRID.

It turns out in 4.3 that N and #PIC allow numeric entry into strings in both GRID and other FIELDS.

This is the link to the original message in the forum: http://brforum.ads.net/viewtopic.php?p=2697#2697

Note sure why it didn't come to the mailing list, so...

Greetings to our conference attendees!

Most of you are flying/driving in to the conference on Wednesday and many have expressed interest in having dinner on Wednesday night. I have a reservation for Wednesday evening at 6:30pm at a local Mexican food place on the Riverwalk. It is walking distance from the hotel - about 1/5 mile. I am attaching the menu to this message.

Since the restaurant wants a final head count on Wednesday morning BEFORE you all arrive, I need you to tell me - either here in reply to this message or in Email - whether or not you will be there. If you are bringing guests, please include them so I have an accurate count. All guests are more than welcome to join us for all meals!

Thanks!

Well since it's for grid entry it wouldn't meet my need - We've been discussing textboxes.
