How are CMDKEY and FKEY reset?

Is there a way to reset CMDKEY and FKEY after they are triggered by an event?

You can just FKEY(0) and cmdkey(0)

P.S. Incidentally, it works the other way around too. You can artificially set the FKEY: FKEY(76)
