Re: video conferencing
I was very upset to learn that MS Teams cannot be uninstalled. It really is a typical MS product - one that hogs the computer.
I have discovered that it can be disabled via the task manager startup tab.

Re: NAS drive as a mapped drive for BRules
Business Rules, like all programming languages that I know of, relies on OS routines for low level network support. Buffalo has been around for at least 10 years, so I would be very surprised to hear of any issues. If you do I will pursue it with Microsoft. Keep in mind that BR is written in C++ and...

video conferencing
I was surprised to see that Zoom has so many security problems. Apparently even after you uninstall it it leaves behind a back door that hackers can use to spy upon you. And Zoom secretly sends information about you to Facebook even if you don't have a Facebook account. Here is an article that cover...

Re: 2020 BRG Conference Cancelled
If anyone has lost money by registering at this year's conference ( air fare etc. ), and cannot get their money refunded, I will give them a credit for that amount toward future purchases from Business Rules Corp. No one should lose money from such a turn of events because they are loyal to Business...

Re: 5.15-2.55-2.6
Yes John. You stated it correctly. All programming languages that work with floating point numbers have the same problem. By using scientific notation internally the binary fractions used in floating point math do not precisely match decimal fractions. Floating point arithmetic necessarily and speci...
