Pre Conference Webinar

Post by gordon »

Greetings.

We had originally planned to do a "10,000 foot" seminar wherein we would provide an overview of the tools we recommend for development of web applications in conjunction with Business Rules applications. Since we didn't do that last fall and the conference is just around the corner (early May), Mikhail and I would like to plan a short webinar that includes an overview of the web tools and other applications that can be presented at the conference, followed by a discussion among the participants of the ideal level of detail we should provide.

I would expect our presentation to require about 15 minutes, and we should plan for a 15 minute discussion after it. I'm thinking of 12:00 noon to 12:30 EST next Wednesday. If we proceed with this, who would like to attend and does noon Wednesday conflict with anything critical?

Secondly, would Team viewer 12 be a suitable platform for conducting the webinar. Those who have TV 13 would have to back it off to 12 temporarily. As I indicated before I am unwilling to switch to a subscription basis for Team Viewer without a need to do so.

Team Viewer 12 can be downloaded from here: https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/ ... 1503946577

Will TeamViewer 12 allow us to watch without rolling back our TeamViewer? I'm not going to roll my TeamViewer back to 12 for this but if I can watch without that then I would be happy to do so. In liu of that perhaps you may consider recording the presentation and sharing it on youtube (or whatever) with private access.

In order to stop the war of TeamViewers, we can switch to a more neutral, browser based solution such as google meet.

I registered for a G Suite account already and can host the webinar, if everyone agrees to use google meet.

A gmail account is NOT required to view the meeting.

So we will have only 2 people attending?

Please check in here (rsvp) if you would like to attend a 1/2 hour webinar this Wednesday.

Hi, everyone. It turns out google meet only works in the Chrome browser. Does anyone have objections to using Chrome and Google meet as our webinar platform?

I will try to be there as well. I have never used Google Meet, so I will do a little homework first.

Can the webinar be after business hours? I'm on site with a customer this week.
