The '''The Business Rules Group, Inc.''', commonly referred to as '''BRG''', or the '''BRGroup''', is a organization which helps developers of the [[Business Rules!]] language to accomplish their goals.

There is no connection to [[Business Rules Corp]] other than the indirect connection of a user's group desiring to encourage the use of the Business Rules! computer language through education and semi-annual conferences.

BRG facilitates cooperation among developers and provides a [[Business Rules Group Conference|conference]] each year. These conferences have proven to be invaluable to BR! developers.

In the past the BRG, in cooperation with ADS (now known as Business Rules Corp) has created an extensive manual for the language, which has been incorporated into this [[Main Page|Wiki]].

===Corporate Standing===
The Business Rules Group, Inc. is a Chapter 180 corporation under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws is the section that deals with not-for-profit entities. A Chapter 180 Massachusetts corporation does not have any shareholders. The organization was incorporated by incorporators and is run by a board of directors elected by dues paying members. The Board of Directors elects the officers of the organization.

Under Massachusetts law, should the group cease to exist, the assets cannot inure to the benefit of any individual or organization other than a similar not-for-profit with similar goals.
