Hot is a legacy term meaning that something is clickable by the user. This could be text, a picture or a window . They are clickable by the user and control is returned to the program to complete an action like changing screens.

Hot Text refers to printed characters which have been empowered to become widgets. Hot Text is added to the screen by using a Print Fields statement. Hot Text return a FKey value.

A HotKey or Hot Key is a legacy term for FKey.
